An industrial gas plant suddenly exploded on Thursday, December 24, in the industrial town of Nnewi, Anambra state. Over 100 people were reportedly burnt to death.The explosion occurred at Chikason Group gas plant in Nnewi just few hours to Christmas. According to an eyewitness, the incident started at about 11am and was caused by an explosion that happened because a truck discharged its contents without waiting for the mandatory cooling time. At the same time, customers were said to be refilling their gas cylinders. -

Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is bereaved, his lovely mother Deaconess Betsy Ikpeazu died at the morning hours of Sunday at University Teaching Hospital Ituku-Ozara, Enugu. She was 87 years old. Late Mrs Ikpeazu, a registered nurse lived with a valve in her heart for 20years. She returned to Nigeria from her base in United State of America in May ahead of her son’s swearing in ceremony as the 4th duly democratically elected governor of Abia State.  Read More @
